Reduced transport requirements and cost - modular v stick steel.
Constructability - 100% site welded v modular bolted.
Cranage - Can we use a Franna or do we need a 150T?
Maintenance - How often do crews need to maintain this equipment. Does it break down often? Can I change maintenance to an automatic self clearing or remote process to safe guard operators?
Serviceability - Can the equipment be serviced while active? can I isolate it safely? Do I need to remove key structural components to change out a drive?
Compatibility - Will my plant deteriorate in the sites conditions?
End of life - Will I need to decommission at some point?
Fleet management - Do I have multiple types of equipment or can I reduce them down to a few?
Critical spares - do I need to ensure I have the required critical spares for plant and fleet to eliminate risk and production down time?
Australian Standards - Does my plant meet them?
Safety - evacuation of hazardous storage facilities.
Hazard identification - Will my insurance cover my plant with this design?

Can it be built?

Does your design use exotic materials or labour that have an extensive lead time or are simply not readily available?

Does your supplier use bespoke, custom made or proprietary parts when readily available alternatives exist?
